HOW DOES THE CAREONE /BEST BENEFITS PLAN WORK Members are able to access their CAREONE Best Benefits discount medical plan as soon as they receive their identification card. Fulfillment packages are sent out within 7 to 10 business days of the enrollment being processed. Save immediately with discount dental, prescription drug and other health care. If a member wants to find a different location, perhaps near work rather than home, they can simply call the toll-free customer service numbers. The CAREONE Best Benefits customer service representatives will assist the member in locating a convenient provider in the area of their choice. Members also have the option of receiving program and provider information instantly via the Internet. There is one toll-free customer service telephone number (800-308-0374) for CAREONE Best Benefits members to call for provider locations, questions about benefits, or problems. Our Customer Service Representatives are trained on each benefit and will interface with the network managers on the member’s behalf to ensure that each member is 100% satisfied. Using the Networks When utilizing the networks under the program, the member should identify him or herself as a member of the appropriate discount network. For example, when utilizing the program for access to doctors or hospitals, members should identify themselves as participants in the appropriate network. The providers may not recognize a particular company who utilizes these networks, but they will recognize the network logo on the ID cards. Providers may call CAREONE’S BEST BENEFITS toll free number (800-308-0374) to check eligibility, obtain pricing information or with other questions. Instead of trying to answer medical providers questions, members should refer them to CAREONE BEST BENEFITS for any information they may require on the use of the program. CAREONE Best BENEFITS has partnered with one of the largest, highest quality provider networks in the country to bring to bring its members the best discounts and the richest product portfolio available. The providers may not recognize the CAREONE Best BENIFITS name, but they should be familiar with the network to which they belong. The networks are listed on the front or on the back of your membership card. When calling to set an appointment with a provider, the member should identify themselves as a member of the appropriate network. Because providers are added and removed when necessary, please verify that the office is an active member of the appropriate network before services are rendered.
Not Insurance While this plan is not insurance, it does provide members the same purchasing advantage large companies have. Anyone, utilizing this program should see average savings of 5% to 60% on the healthcare services. How Does the Program Work? The individual applies on-line or completes the application form and forwards it to CAREONE Best BENEFITS. ID cards and additional instructions will be sent to each new member.Members make appointments with any healthcare provider listed on the CareOne Best BENEFITS website or one obtained by calling customer service (800-308-0374). Members show their ID card to the provider at the time of the appointment.Member pay the network rate at the time of service. Using the CAREONE/Best Benefits Program With Other Health Benefits The CAREONE Best BENEFITS card can save money for many healthcare consumers even if they have other health CARE Best BENEFITS. Example of how CAREONE Best BENEFITS works with other health care benefits as follows. If you have an program for which you pay a flat rate (such as $20.00 every time you visit a doctor), the CAREONE Best BENEFITS card can not be used to obtain further discounts. If you have this type of a medical plan, you may only use the card for services that are not covered under your policy. Many plans exclude benefits for chiropractic services, physical exams or baby care, dermatology or other specialty services, etc. You may use your CAREONE Best BENEFITS card to receive the network rates on these excluded services. If you have a program that has restrictions on certain benefits or excludes certain conditions, you may use the CAREONE Best BENEFITS card to receive discounted rates for these non-covered medical services. Since the CAREONE BestBENEFITS program has no restrictions or maximums, it can be used to save money when being treated for the excluded condition.
If you are covered by Medicare and are going to a doctor or other medical provider who accepts Medicare assignment, you are already receiving discounted rates, and cannot receive another discount using the CAREONE Best BENEFITS card. You may, however, use the card when receiving services from a medical provider who does not accept Medicare assignment or for physician treatment or voids not covered by Medicare. The CAREONE Best BENEFITS program does, however, offer savings on several medical needs not covered by Medicare, including: hearing aids, prescription drugs, chiropractic services, dentists, long term care and eyeglasses. The 24-hour Nurse hotline, staffed by registered nurses is another great asset for those people who are on Medicare.
